Chyenne Pump joins USC Upstate as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach, bringing a strong background in strength and conditioning across multiple levels of competition.
Pump comes to Upstate from Wofford College, where she served as a Strength and Conditioning Assistant, designing and implementing in-and off-season training programs for Women’s Soccer, Women’s Lacrosse, Women’s Volleyball, and Men’s Golf. She also worked with Men’s Soccer and Rifle while assisting in program implementation for Football.
Prior to Wofford, Pump was the Director of Sports Performance at Pine Crest School, overseeing training programs for all sports teams. She primarily utilized the Tier System to develop general athletic skills across various ages and sports, implemented Team Builder to track workouts, and led practice and game warm-ups for the Football team.
Pump also gained experience as a Graduate Assistant in Strength and Conditioning at Nova Southeastern University, where she managed training programs for Women’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, and Men’s Basketball. Additionally, she has worked with Winter Park Volleyball Club and Florida Atlantic University.
A former collegiate volleyball student-athlete at Methodist University, Pump earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science from Methodist and her Master’s in Sports Science from Nova Southeastern University. She holds certifications through the NSCA, USAW and ISSN.
