SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team will make its way to state of Alabama this weekend, taking on Jacksonville State and UAB in a pair of non-conference matchups.

The Spartans are slated to play Jacksonville State Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the JSU Tennis Courts and follow Saturday with UAB at 10 a.m. at George Ward Park.

  • UAB opened the season winning six of its first seven matches, but the Blazers have since dropped two of their last three to sit at 7-3 on the year. UAB easily handled Jacksonville State 4-0 on Feb. 8 and has A-Sun victories over Kennesaw State (5-2) and Mercer (7-0).
