Upstate Looks To Stay Hot When It Hosts Charleston Southern On Thursday
March 9, 2010
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - One week after earning its first national ranking in the Division I era, the USC Upstate women's tennis team will head into a particularly treacherous part of the schedule, starting with Charleston Southern, which takes a perfect record into the week. The two teams will face off at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex on Thursday at 2 p.m.
Upstate (9-1 overall, 4-0 A-Sun) won't get a breather after the match against the Buccaneers, as they head to Charlotte (3-7 overall) on March 17 before facing A-Sun preseason favorite ETSU (6-2 overall, 2-0 A-Sun) on March 19 in a match that has decided at least a piece of the A-Sun regular-season title in each of the last two years, with Upstate taking the title in 2008 before ETSU split the title with Stetson in 2009.
