High School: An accomplished pitcher from Kings Mountain High School under Head Coach Suzanne Grayson... named the Western North Carolina 3A Pitcher of the Year as a senior... led Kings Mountain to a second-place finish in the 3A state tournament... was an All-State, All-District and All-Conference honoree in 2007... posted a 0.16 ERA with 387 strikeouts in 172.2 innings pitched... posted a 25-4 record... a four-time recipient of the Southwest Foothills Conference Player of the Year award... named the Gaston Gazette area Player of the Year for the third time... earned Piedmont Player of the Year honors from the Charlotte Observer for the second straight season... a three-time First Team All-Charlotte Observer selection and was named the paper’s Female Athlete of the Year for Kings Mountain in 2006... led Kings Mountain to back-to-back 3A state and regional championships as a sophomore and junior... had 1,284 career strikeouts with a 0.38 ERA in 628 innings pitched... walked just 65 batters in four seasons... walked just 17 her junior and senior years combined... tallied a career record of 92-8... recorded a 0.04 earned run average as a junior.... played summer ball for the Cabarrus County Challengers under Head Coach Dennis Cook and the Lady Blues under Head Coach Adrian Ochoa... also a standout in the classroom, was a four-time member of the Honor Roll.
