Andy Barth is in his first year as an assistant women’s soccer coach for goalkeeping at USC Upstate in 2012-13.
Barth finished his collegiate career at Anderson University where he earned All-Conference honors in the Conference Carolinas in 2006 and was named the team’s most improved player. He also went on to play two seasons in a Semi-Pro Indoor League and PDL Leagues.
The Flint, Mich., native started his college career at Rochester College before transferring to Anderson in the summer of 2005.
He started playing soccer at age six where he played his club soccer for LaForza FC and Michigan Wolves. He went on to play all four years of high school varsity soccer and won All-Conference honors his senior year.
Barth served as the goalkeeping coach for Anderson University during the 2008 season and then worked as the Residential Goalkeeper Director for Derek Marinatos Goalkeeper Academy (DMGA) in 2009 and 2010.
Barth holds a NSCAA State and Regional Goalkeeping Coach Diploma.
