SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The USC Upstate men's tennis team will put a lid on its fall season this weekend when they travel to the second annual Citadel Fall Invitational Oct. 26-27 at the Earle Tennis Center.

The two-day event features players from USC Upstate, The Citadel, Bethune Cookman and Georgia Southern.

The tournament will include eight singles flights and four doubles flights in a round robin format. The weekend invite will be the sixth and final fall event for the Spartans as they prepare for the 2013 season this spring.

The Spartans are coming off a strong showing two weeks ago at the University of Tennessee Fall Invitational, where Gonzalo Blanco and Yvon Haessig advanced to the championship match of the "Orange" doubles draw, but the pair fell to Winthrop in the title match.

Results and recaps will be available at the conclusion of play each day. First serve of the tournament is slated for 9:30 Friday morning.
