Spring 2012: Appeared in 20 matches during sophomore season with a 14-7 record in singles action and 8-12 mark in doubles play… Recorded a team-best 7-2 record in A-Sun matches… Teamed up with Jacob Darling to post an 8-7 mark in doubles action, going 7-7 at No. 3 doubles and 1-0 at No. 2 doubles… Put together an eight-match winning streak during the year that included three-set victories over Nicholls’ Roy Knight, North Florida’s Norbert Nemcsek and Belmont’s Rodrigo Amaral… Earned A-Sun Conference Scholar recognition.
Spring 2011: Earned A-Sun All-Freshman honors after recording 10 doubles wins and nine singles victories… Seven of 10 doubles wins came in league play… Claimed six of nine singles wins in A-Sun play… Played primarily at singles position No. 3 (4-5) and No. 4 (4-4)… Defeated ETSU’s Grega Teraz 6-0, 6-4 (Singles No. 3, Feb. 26)… In only match at No. 2 singles of the year, claimed a 6-1, 7-6 (4-0) victory over FGCU’s Gabriel Echeverry (Mar. 5)… Won three of final four matches to close out 2011… A member of the A-Sun All-Academic Team.
Fall 2010: Teamed with his brother, Ramiro, and the duo advanced to the semifinal round of the Doubles Flight ‘A’ at the USC Upstate Fall Invitational (Sept. 17-19, 2010).
Before USC Upstate: Was a member of the tennis team for four years at Escuelo de Educaion Media.
