Spartanburg, S.C. - The USC Upstate men's soccer team kicks back into action this weekend when it opens up A-Sun play at home against Jacksonville and North Florida at County University Soccer Stadium. The Spartans will take on Jacksonville Friday night at 7:00 and North Florida Sunday afternoon at 1:00.

Upstate enters Friday's game against Jacksonville with a 2-5-1 record. The Spartans have lost their last four matches, each by one goal. Jacksonville enters Friday's game with a 1-8-1 record, having lost two in a row coming into the weekend. North Florida will play at ETSU Friday night and enters the weekend with a 3-6-0 record and on a four-game losing streak.

Upstate is 1-6-0 all-time against Jacksonville in a series that dates back to 1980, the Spartans' first year of soccer. Jacksonville is riding a five-game winning streak in the series, all coming since Upstate joined Division I and the A-Sun in 2007. The Spartans' lone victory came during the 1983 season. The Dolphins own a 22-7 advantage in scoring.

Upstate is 9-5-1 all-time against North Florida in a series that dates back to the 1997 season. The Spartans are 1-4-0 against the Ospreys since 2007, claiming a 2-0 victory in Jacksonville last year. The win was the first for the Spartans over North Florida since joining the A-Sun in 2007.
