Glenn Named to All-Tournament Team

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – With the Edinburg, Texas, portion of the UTPA Tip-Off Classic complete, USC Upstate forward Ricardo Glenn (Augusta, Ga.) has been named to the All-Tournament team.

Upstate, off to its best start since 2006-07 (3-2), will close out the 2011 UTPA Tip-Off Classic Sunday when they host Victory University inside the Hodge Center at 4 p.m.

Glenn picked up All-Tournament accolades after averaging 14.0 points per contest and 4.0 rebounds per game.  The redshirt sophomore connected on 69.6% of his field goal attempts from the floor during three games in Edinburg, Texas.

The 6-8 forward scored 11 points in the first-half and finished with 15 points in Upstate's 70-66 victory over UTPA Friday night.  Against the Broncs, Glenn sank a career-high six field goals (eight attempts).

Glenn tallied eight points in the Spartans' five-point loss to Toledo (Saturday), before setting a pair of career-highs in the finale against Texas State.  On Sunday, Glenn scored a career-best 19 points after setting a new career mark with eight made field goals.

Glenn currently ranks as the best shooter in the A-Sun (67.6%) and is tied for 13th in scoring (11.8 ppg).
