SPARTANBURG, S.C. – USC Upstate sophomore Torrey Craig (Great Falls, S.C.) picked up his third preseason honor this week as he was named Preseason All-Atlantic Sun by CollegeHoops.net.

Earlier this month, Craig earned Preseason All-A-Sun honors (as voted upon by the league's head coaches) as well as second-team honors from College Sports Madness.

The reigning A-Sun Freshman of the Year appeared in all 30 games a season ago, while starting the final 26 contests.  Craig, who led all A-Sun freshmen, finished last season third in the conference in rebounding (7.2 rpg) and seventh in scoring (14.4 ppg).

The Spartan forward found his name in the top-10 of the A-Sun in three other categories as he ranked third in defensive rebounds (4.93 drpg), fourth in 3-point field goals made per game (2.27 pg) and tied for eighth in offensive rebounds (2.27 orpg).

Isiah Brown (ETSU), Ian Clark (Belmont), Markeith Cummings (Kennesaw State) and Mick Hedgepeth (Belmont) joined Craig on CollegeHoops.net's preseason team.

Upstate will kick-off the 2011-12 season in 16 days when it travels to Fayetteville, Ark., to face the Arkansas Razorbacks.  Tip-off inside the Bud Walton Arena is slated for 7 p.m. (CT).
