Spartans-Gamecocks Battle to Air on SportsSouth

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The New Year's Eve battle between the USC Upstate men's basketball team and South Carolina will air on SportsSouth and tip-off is slated for Noon.

Spartan fans that are unable to make the trek to Columbia, S.C., can catch the action on a variety of television providers.  Those with DirecTV can catch the game on channel 649 or one of two overflow channels, 650 and 650-1.  Fans with Dish Network services can watch the in-state battle on channel 437. 

Charter Cable subscribers will be able to see the game on channel 35 (standard definition) and channel 812 (high definition).  Other cable subscribers should check their channel lineup to determine what channel they will need to tune to.

The game at South Carolina is one of three televised games for the Spartans in 2011-12.  Upstate's contest at Ohio State will air on the Big Ten Network (Dec. 14, 7:30 p.m.) while the home game against ETSU on Jan. 27 will appear on CSS.

The Spartans kick-off the 2011-12 season at Arkansas on Friday, November 11.
