MACON, Ga. – Junior Kenny Sugishita (Arroyo Grande, Calif.) of the USC Upstate men's track & field team tossed his way to a second-straight Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week accolade as announced by the conference today.

This marks Sugishita's fourth-career conference weekly award, collecting all four during the 2011-12 campaign.

Sugishita set a program-best mark for the fourth-straight week this season at Auburn's Tiger Track Classic April 6. The junior earned fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 58.15-meters (190-09) to significantly pass the record he set the previous week at the Winthrop Invitational of 55.75-meters (182-11). He currently leads the A-Sun in the event by 30 feet.

Upstate's top thrower returns to action along with the rest of the squad April 20-21, traveling to Jacksonville, Fla., for the A-Sun Outdoor Championship. Follow the Spartans this season on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
