SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- USC Upstate athletics, in partnership with Budweiser of Spartanburg, announced a special event to benefit Operation Restoration, CDC, a local non-profit dedicated to assisting veterans whom are in need, at risk or homeless. This is the second event in a monthly series presented by Budweiser of Spartanburg geared at encouraging fans to support local charities at select USC Upstate athletic events this year.
Fans attending the USC Upstate men's basketball home opener on Monday, November 15 at 6:00 p.m. are encouraged to donate
socks, t-shirts, boxer shorts and small personal care items (disposable razors, shaving cream, etc.). The Spartans will host St. Andrews inside the Eddie and Ann Payne Arena at the G.B. Hodge Center.
"With our home opener just days after Veterans Day, we felt it was a great opportunity for us to work with an organization like Operation Restoration and help them make an impact for veterans who are experience hardships in their lives. We hope all our supporters will bring something extra with them to make a difference on Opening Night!" said Aenior Associate AD for External Operations,
Lenny Mathis.
All fans who makes a donation is entered in a drawing to win a prize package of branded items from Budweiser of Spartanburg* and will receive an USC Upstate branded item.
