Spartans Drop Match to Charlotte

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team lost its final home non-conference match of the year to Charlotte 7-0 at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex on Tuesday afternoon. 

Charlotte improves to 7-10 while USC Upstate falls to 1-15. 

Noelia Acuna and Taylor Dodd teamed up to defeat Rocio Safont and Immie Cowper 6-4 at No. 2 doubles. Charlotte won the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches to clinch the doubles point. 

Elin Hellberg dropped a hard-fought No. 5 singles match to Zoe Radojicic in three sets. Hellberg claimed the first set 7-5 before Radojicic claimed the second set 6-4 and the tiebreaking third set 10-3.
