Spartanburg, S.C. – Carol Sigaki earned a hard-fought singles win but USC Upstate dropped an ASUN Conference match to North Florida 6-1 on Saturday morning at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.
North Florida improves to 13-6 overall and 3-0 in the league while USC Upstate falls to 1-14 and 0-3.
After dropping the first set in her #1 singles match against Rafaela Gomez, Sigaki claimed the second set 7-5 before a 10-7 win in the third set to clinch the match. North Florida won the rest of the singles matches in two sets.
The Ospreys clinched the doubles point with wins at #2 and #1 doubles.
