Upstate went on for the 8-7 win in extra innings... had two hits and two RBIs in the 10-1 win at Furman (Apr. 23)... posted two hits and three runs with two walks in the season-ending sweep at Mercer (Apr. 27). High School: A standout first baseman for Wellington High School... a three-time all-conference selection... served as a team captain... hit .442 last season for Wellington... drove in 15 runs on 23 hits and five home runs in 52 at bats... scored 17 runs... an all-county selection... played summer travel ball with the nationally-recognized Davie Power Black under Head Coach Steve Nicastro... was the starting first basemen for the Davie Power for four seasons.
