LakePoint, Ga. - In the first ASUN Beam Video Series, the conference features student-athletes across the ASUN that have made an Impact in the classroom, in competition and in the community. Throughout the spring, the ASUN will feature two student-athletes from each institution that epitomize the conference's beam of Impact.
Brittany Case's accomplishments at USC Upstate have left a prevalent Impact on both the Upstate Softball program and the Spartanburg campus & community. A junior outfielder from Denham Springs, La., Case has been involved in a multitude of projects during her collegiate career.
On the field, Case's lists of accomplishments in only three years with the Spartans is a long one as she most recently earned First Team All-Conference honors for the second time in her career, while adding a Second Team selection in her sophomore season. The all-star outfielder has assisted in guiding Upstate to the 2017 ASUN Regular Season Title and two ASUN Softball Championship titles and subsequent berths into the NCAA Tournament. At the plate, Case has racked up 150 career hits, nearly 50 extra-base hits, 90 RBIs and a batting average of .332. During her time with the Spartans, Upstate has won 119 contests including 35 in conference games.
Case excels as a student as well with multiple selections to the USC Upstate Dean's List with a 3.67 cumulative GPA as a Communications major, which recently earned her a slot on the ASUN Softball All-Academic Team. Case represented the ASUN Conference at the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum in November 2017 and has been an active member of the ASUN Student-Athlete Advisory Committee including serving in the role of Vice Chair. A leader in the Upstate Athletic Department, Case currently serves as the SAAC Vice President and will move into the President role for her senior year. Her role in the community has extended to several activities including the Miracle League, McCarthy Teszler Prom, Walk to School Day, the SNAC Pantry Food Drive and the Angel Tree.
