LakePoint, Ga. – USC Upstate senior forward Nicki Krejci was named to the ASUN All-Academic Team, conference officials announced this afternoon.
Krejci is the third Upstate student-athlete to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, joining two-time honoree Rachel Baylor (2015, 2016) and Sarah Plantz (2011). This is the third consecutive year that the Spartans have been represented on the ASUN All-Academic Team.
Krejci is a Special Education major with a 3.89 GPA. She completed her career with 65 games played and 57 starts. Krejci is Upstate's Division I era record holder with eight assists and is tied for third in program history. In 2017, Krejci started all 16 games that she played in with one assist, four shots and 1,453 minutes played.
The All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. All the members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
