Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's soccer team will play its final non-conference match of the 2017 season on Tuesday as the Spartans travel to Bob Jones for an 8 p.m. match.
The Spartans are 4-5-1 overall and 0-0-1 in ASUN Conference play following a 1-1 tie at Kennesaw State on Friday night. Following 87 scoreless minutes, the Owls got on the board thanks to a Carly Pressgrove goal. Upstate tied the match with 34 seconds remaining in regulation thanks to an own goal. Brooke Bailey made seven saves for Upstate while Tori Brown and Isabella Burns took two shots each.
Bob Jones is 3-6 following a 9-1 win over John Wesley on Saturday. Abby Davis leads the Bruins in goals (4), assists (5), points (13) and shots (27). Dr. Chris Carmichael is in his seventh season as head coach.
This is the first all-time meeting between the schools.

Upstate concludes an eight-match road trip this weekend by heading to the River City to face North Florida at 7 p.m. on Friday and Jacksonville at 2 p.m. Sunday.
