COACH'S QUOTE
"Credit to Gardner-Webb. They played a good match. We got off to a slow start in the doubles. We just didn't play very well. We kind of challenged the guys to come out and fight back in singles. I think, really, at all six courts we were hanging in there and fighting even though we are a little banged up right now. Tom and Francisco, obviously, did a great job taking those third sets. It was a very physical and intense match. I think we just, with the short turnaround, didn't have our legs as much as we needed today. We just couldn't take care of big points under pressure." – Tim McLane, head coach
