Men’s Tennis Preview:  at ITA Regionals

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate men's tennis team will play at the ITA Regionals hosted by Duke Oct. 12-16 and is being held at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.

More than 128 competitors will be in action as the tournament takes place from Friday through Tuesday.

USC Upstate is sending Ankush Arora, Fernando Bernardes, Luka Eble and Francisco Neto to the ITA Regionals.

Competition will kick off with the singles opening round and round of 64 on Friday starting at 8:30 a.m. The schedule for Saturday consists of singles round of 32, singles consolation round of 64, doubles round of 64 and doubles round of 32. The singles round of 16, singles quarterfinals, singles consolation round of 32 and doubles round of 16 make up the schedule for Sunday. For Monday, the schedule will be singles semifinals, doubles quarterfinals and doubles semifinals. The tournament concludes on Tuesday with the finals of both singles and doubles. 

The singles and doubles winners from each of the 12 USTA/ITA regions advance to the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, held Nov. 7-11, at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz.
