Men’s Soccer Preview:  at Coastal Carolina

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate men's soccer team travels to Conway, S.C. on Saturday evening to face the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in a non-conference matchup at 7 p.m.

USC Upstate (2-6) is coming off of a 1-0 defeat against Furman on Tuesday evening. Josh Salinas and Jaedon Williamson both led the Spartans offensively with two shots. Andrea Bonavia grabbed a season-high 11 saves.

Cam Philpot leads the Spartans this season with six points on three goals. Four players are tied for second with three points. Seven different USC Upstate players have tallied one goal on the season. Bonavia leads the team with 39 saves and a 2.86 GAA.

Coastal Carolina is 4-3 on the season after falling 3-1 to Maryland on Sept. 30. Tsiki Ntsabeleng leads the team with six points on two goals and two assists. Six different players have scored for the Chanticleers. Chris Dattalo has 25 saves on the season with a 1.36 GAA and .714 save percentage. Coastal Carolina is led by 21st-year head coach Shaun Docking.
