Men’s Golf Preview:  at Camden Collegiate Invitational

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate men's golf team plays its third event of the fall this weekend, Oct. 20-21, traveling to Camden, S.C. for the Camden Collegiate Invitational hosted by Furman at the par 70, 6455-yard Camden Country Club.

USC Upstate is one of nine teams competing in the two-day tournament along with Furman, Charleston Southern, Dartmouth, Francis Marion, Gardner-Webb, Limestone, Presbyterian College and USC Aiken.

The Spartans are sending out a five-player lineup consisting of Jordan Warnock, Hunter Fry, Sun Paripunna, Matt Carter and Reid Bedell. Sean Stanistreet and Sam Merrell will be competing as individuals.

The 54-hole event features two rounds on Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m. The final round on Sunday will also tee off at 8:30 a.m.

USC Upstate is back on the course for the first time since Oct. 8-9 at the Musgrove Mill Intercollegiate. The Spartans finished the match play tournament with a 2-1 record and advanced to the championship match.
