Clinton, S.C. – The USC Upstate men's golf team closed out play at the Musgrove Mill Intercollegiate on Tuesday falling to the Radford Highlanders in the championship match from the par 72, 6848-yard Musgrove Mill Golf Club.
USC Upstate dropped a 3.0-2.0 decision to Radford and concluded the tournament in second place with a match play record of 2-1.
The Spartans opened match play on Monday with a 3.0-2.0 win over Appalachian State and 4.0-1.0 triumph against host Presbyterian College.
RADFORD VS. USC UPSTATE
- The Highlanders captured wins in the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 matches to hold off USC Upstate 3.0-2.0.
- The Spartans received wins from Jordan Warnock at No. 1 and Sun Paripunna at No. 5.
- Warnock gave USC Upstate one point after defeating Parker See in the No. 1 match by a score of 6&5.
- Paripunna picked up his second consecutive win of the Musgrove Mill Intercollegiate with a 5&4 victory over Ty Olinger playing at No. 5.

- Peter Gasperini vs. Matt Carter – Gasperini wins 5&4
- Ben Ramsey vs. Hunter Fry – Ramsey wins 4&3
