Spartanburg, S.C. – After opening the ASUN Conference portion of the schedule at Harley Park last weekend, USC Upstate will take to the road this weekend as the Spartan baseball team travels to North Florida for a three-game series. The series begins on Friday at 6:05 p.m. followed by a 2:05 contest on Saturday and the finale at 1:05 p.m. Sunday.
USC Upstate is 15-15-1 overall after splitting a pair of midweek games against UNC Asheville and Gardner-Webb. North Florida is 14-15 overall and 1-2 in the ASUN after dropping its opening series against Jacksonville. The Ospreys won the opening game on March 29 before being held to two runs in each of the next two games in the series. Tim Parenton is in his first season as head coach.
The Ospreys lead the all-time series 43-9 and 21-9 at the Division I level. In 2017, USC Upstate claimed the series thanks to walk-off wins on Friday and Sunday.
