Susannah Waldrop is in her 20th year overall at USC Upstate.
Waldrop has served as the director of the Student Success Center since 2014. She has been with USC Upstate since 1999 and has worked with the Student Success Center since 2008. Prior to being named Director of the Student Success Center, Waldrop was the Director of Academic Support Center from 2008-14.
She also worked in Upstate’s Mary Black School of Nursing in two capacities from 1999-2008. Waldrop began working as the Student Services Coordinator for the Mary Black School of Nursing from 1999-2006, and then held the position of Director of Student Services for the Mary Black School of Nursing from 2006-08.
Prior to coming to Upstate, she was the Director of Programs for the Western Lab for Leisure Research at the University of Utah from 1997-99.
Waldrop holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Clemson University. She currently enrolled at the University of South Carolina in a doctoral program in Educational Administration with an emphasis in higher education.
She has experience with advising, academic support, the First-Year Experience, peer mentor programs, and administration.
Waldrop is married with two sons and lives in Campobello.
