Macon, Ga. – For the second time this season USC Upstate senior libero Morgan Page has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her performance on the volleyball court, it was announced this afternoon by the league.
The Woodstock, Ga. native led the Spartans defensively with a team-high 29 digs in two matches last week. Her 20 digs in a 3-0 home conference victory over Kennesaw State marked the third time this season in which she has tallied 20 or more digs in a contest. She averaged 6.67 digs per set against KSU. Page also added nine digs in a road contest with East Tennessee State.
She earned her first Defensive Player of the Week honor on Oct. 14 after recording a career-high 33 digs against Florida Gulf Coast, and tallying 46 for the week.
On the season, Page is second on the team with 224 digs. She ranks sixth in the A-Sun with 3.86 digs per set.
The Spartans return to action Tuesday, Oct. 29 against Presbyterian College at 7 p.m.
