Florida Gulf Coast Knocks off Women’s Tennis

Fort Myers, Fla. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday afternoon at the FGCU Tennis Complex.

Florida Gulf Coast improves to 8-7 overall and 4-0 in the ASUN Conference while USC Upstate drops to 1-17 and 0-4.

The Eagles clinched the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Carol Sigaki and Vale Zarama were leading Julia Ascua and Maja Ornberg 4-3 at No. 1 doubles when play was halted.

FGCU claimed all six singles matches in two sets.
