Buies Creek, N.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 setback at Campbell Saturday afternoon in non-conference action from the Nisbet Tennis Center.
Campbell won the first two doubles matches of the day to sprint out to a 1-0 lead. The Camels then went on to win the first two singles matches to open up a 3-0 advantage before Isabel von Stryk picked up a 4-6, 7-5, 10-5 victory at No. 1 over Karolina Chernaya to tally the first point of the match for Upstate.
Campbell was victorious in the final three singles matches en route to the victory.
USC Upstate returns to action Sunday at 12 p.m. when the Spartans take on UNC Greensboro from the UNCG Tennis Courts.
