Rain Cancels Final Day of Spartan Invitational
Spartanburg, S.C. - Due to heavy rain that fell overnight and the forecast of additional rain throughout the day Sunday, the final day of the Spartan Invitational softball tournament at USC Upstate has been canceled.
Heavy rain hit overnight and more rain is expected through the evening hours, causing the cancellation of the games between George Mason and Youngstown State, UNC Wilmington and Howard, and Upstate and Georgetown. The games will not be made up.
Upstate finished the tournament with a 3-0 record, as did Georgetown.
