Spartanburg, S.C. - Due to heavy rain in Spartanburg, the softball doubleheader between Lipscomb and USC Upstate scheduled for Saturday has been postponed until Sunday.
With heavy rain drenching the Upstate, the doubleheader was postponed from Saturday. The games will now be played Sunday afternoon with the first game starting at 4:00 and the second game beginning at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Upstate and Lipscomb are both coming off sweeps on Friday to open A-Sun play. The Spartans swept Belmont at home, while the Lady Bisons swept ETSU in Johnson City, Tenn. The matchup pits the two teams picked at the top of the conference in the preseason coaches poll with Lipscomb being tabbed as the favorite to win the regular season championship and Upstate picked second.
