JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – USC Upstate surrendered two goals in each half and ETSU claimed a 4-0 victory in the conference opener for both squads Friday night at Summers-Taylor Stadium.
ETSU's (5-3-0, 1-0-0 Atlantic Sun) Jenna Caudle scored the first goal of the contest in the seventh minute as she scored from the left side of the box to the lower right corner. Caudle was assisted on her sixth goal of the season by Genna Petersen.
In the 26th-minute Upstate (1-8-1, 0-1-0 A-Sun) goalie Sarah Plantz (Cartersville, Ga.) made a great save to keep the score at 1-0. After the ball bounced away following the save, Plantz grabbed the ball before the Lady Bucs had a chance to take another shot.

As time expired in the first half, Plantz deflected Caudle's shot over the cross bar to keep the deficit at two goals.
The Lady Bucs increased their lead to 3-0 in the 48th-minute when Taylor Maxson's shot from inside the box found the back of the net.
In the 67th-minute Michelle Calmeyn (Elk Grove, Ill.) beat the ETSU defense, but was unable to get a clean shot and the Lady Bucs maintained their 3-0 lead.
ETSU scored its fourth and final goal of the match in the 76th-minute as Kristi Davis scored on an assist from Kayla White.
