SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Spartans are coming off an exciting season opening win against Charleston Southern on Monday. Junior Santana De Freitas and freshman Caitlin Robinson each scored their first goals of the season in obtaining the 2-1 victory on their home field.

This will be the first meeting between the Spartans and both the Charleston Cougars and the High Point Panthers. The Cougars are coming off back-to-back shutout wins against A-Sun teams, Jacksonville and North Florida, while the Panthers are looking for their first win after a recent 1-1 tie against Wofford on Sunday.

The Spartans will host the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night as the latter game of a double-header at County Stadium, following the men's 5 p.m. game. The Upstate women will then travel to High Point, N.C., on Sunday for a 2 p.m. non-conference game against the defending Big South Conference champion Panthers.

Mark Your Calendar: The County University Soccer Stadium will be the host venue for the Carolinas Border Classic, taking place from Sept. 12 to Sept. 14. During this three-day tournament, the Upstate women will compete against Winthrop and Gardner-Webb.
