Spartanburg, S.C. - After splitting the first two games, USC Upstate and Wofford will play the rubber match of their season series on Wednesday at Harley Park. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Upstate is 21-26 overall and 5-10 in the ASUN Conference after claiming a series last weekend at home against North Florida with two walk-off wins. The Spartans defeated the Ospreys 2-1 on Friday and 4-3 on Sunday.
Conner Campbell was named the ASUN Pitcher of the Week on Monday. The freshman right-hander went 1-0 with a save in two appearances. Campbell allowed one run on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts in a 2-1 complete game victory over North Florida on Friday. Campbell retired 10 consecutive batters after an error allowed the first batter of the fourth inning to reach. On Wednesday at Presbyterian College, he recorded the final two outs in a 6-5, 10-inning victory.
Wofford is 25-23 after dropping a Southern Conference series at Western Carolina last weekend.
Upstate claimed a 14-10 victory over the Terriers at Harley Park on March 5 while Wofford rallied for a 4-2 win over the Spartans at Russell C. King Field on March 16.
