Asheville, N.C. – The UNC Asheville Bulldogs erased a 4-2 USC Upstate lead thanks to a five-run seventh inning as they defeated the Spartans 8-4 at Greenwood Field on Tuesday night.

UNC Asheville improves to 15-21 while Upstate drops to 16-23.

Scoring Breakdown

  • Top 1st – Upstate got on the board as a Russell Schwertfeger single scored Charlie Carpenter.
  • Top 2ndPat Raiff led off the inning with a single and scored following a Devon Ortiz single.
