JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Rain and Lightning in the Jacksonville area halted the series opener with the USC Upstate baseball team holding a 1-0 advantage over North Florida in the top of the second.
The contest will resume tomorrow at Noon with Austin Liput (Ovideo, Fla.) standing on first base and two outs in the second.
Upstate took a 1-0 lead when Jordan Stampler (Davie, Fla.) scored on a Luke Weber (Spartanburg, S.C.) RBI single through the right side.
Game two of the series that was scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. will take place 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
