Upstate Offers Free Admission, Can Drive for Upcoming Basketball Games

Spartanburg, S.C. – The Holiday season is upon us and USC Upstate will tip-off the season by offering free admission while conducting a can drive for the upcoming men’s basketball games next week, announced the athletics department Friday.

The Upstate men’s basketball team plays host to Texas-Pan American on Friday, Nov. 25 at 3:00 p.m. and Victory University on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 4:00 p.m. in the Hodge Center, part of a Thanksgiving college basketball spectacular. Upstate is offering free admission to both games. While admission to the games is free of charge, the Spartans do ask that you participate in our canned food drive to help support the Spartanburg Soup Kitchen.

Individuals attending the basketball games next Friday and Sunday are asked to bring canned goods to help support the Spartanburg Soup Kitchen. The Spartanburg Soup Kitchen feeds those Spartanburg community members in need of hot meals and will see a spike in attendance during the Holiday season. Upstate will have several boxes in the lobby of the Hodge Center to accept your canned goods donations.
