Upstate Announces Cheerleading Tryout Dates

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The USC Upstate cheerleading squad has announced their annual spring tryouts and the two-day tryout will begin on April 22 and will conclude on April 23.

The Spartan Cheerleading Team consists of individuals who cheer at Basketball (Men’s and Women’s) games and various sporting events. As an Upstate Cheerleader, you are asked to attend 10-15 appearances per semester, in addition to practices and games.

USC Upstate Cheerleading Tryouts

When: April 22^nd and 23^rd

Where: Carolina Cheer Center in Spartanburg (219 Northeast Drive, Spartanburg, SC)

Time: April 22^nd 5pm-7pm (Evaluations will be made and qualified participants will be invited back on April 23^rd)

          April 23^rd 9:30am-12:30pm (Evaluations will be completed and qualified participants will be asked to join the team)

Requirements:

Please have the ability to fulfill any position within the spirit squad

Members of the Cheerleading Team must represent the University in a professional manner

Must be a current USC Upstate student and/or incoming freshman student
