Throwers Lead Spartans on Opening Day of ASUN Outdoor Championships

Jacksonville, Fla. – A trio of throwers scored six combined points on the opening day of the 2017 ASUN Outdoor Track & Field Championships at North Florida's Harmon Stadium on Friday.

Both the men's and women's teams are in fifth place after six events.

Noteworthy

  • Kalyn Brown finished in fourth place in the women's shot put. Brown just missed earning Third Team All-Conference honors.
  • Bryson Hatten finished in sixth place in the men's hammer throw while Jaquille Mosley scored a sixth place result in the men's shot put.
  • Courtney Bradley qualified for the finals in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 12.12.
