Sara Kersteter is in her sixth year as an Atheltic Trainer at USC Upstate. She works primarily with women's basketball and men's and women's tennis.
Kersteter came to Upstate after spending more than a year serving as an athletic trainer at North Carolina Wesleyan College where she was the athletic trainer for the women's basketball, volleyball and women's lacrosse teams.
A 2007 graduate of Radford University, Kersteter completed an athletic training graduate assistantship at Penn State University before receiving her master’s degree in May of 2010. While at PSU, she served as the primary contact for baseball, while gaining valuable experience in other sports such as softball and soccer. A Certified Athletic Trainer, Kersteter completed a one-year internship at the University of North Florida from 2010-11 where she served as the primary athletic trainer for the track & field and cross country teams.
Kersteter is a graduate of the National Massage Therapy Institute and is an Approved Clinical Instructor. The Virginia native is a NATA member and owns both CPR and First Aid certifications.
