Kanett Haynes is in her third year as the Athletics Business Manager at USC Upstate.

Haynes is a 1997 graduate of the University of Central Florida, earning a bachelor's degree in Public Administration in 1997. She earned an Associate in Accounting with electives in Information Systems from Spartanburg Community College in 2009. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Indian River Community College in 1995.

Prior to earning her associate degree from SCC and entering the field of college athletics, Haynes had a successful career working in county government in Florida and South Carolina. She began her career as a Fiscal Services Analyst in the Orange County Government in Orlando, Fla., from 1997-2004. She developed budgets in accordance with program needs and oversaw strategic planning for projects, encompassing research, funding and budget control.

She left her position in Orange County and became a Senior Analyst for the Seminole County Government in Sanford, Fla., from 2005-07. She prepared quarterly reports and oversaw administrative functions in the business office, working with high-ranking administrative officials.

Haynes and her family relocated to Spartanburg in 2007 where she began a one-year stint as a Budget Analyst for the Spartanburg County Government. She oversaw the review and analysis of budget requests and assisted in the development and implementation of new local hospitality taxes, among a myriad of other duties.

Haynes is a native of Vero Beach, Fla., and attended Vero Beach High School. She and her husband, Jimmy, are the proud parents of four children; Xzavier, Charity, Harmony and Jimmy, Jr. She is a volunteer for Mobile Meals of Spartanburg and attends Refuge Church of Christ in Chesnee.
